家The house
An Asian address in the heart of Thonon.
Opened in November 2025 at 2 avenue d'Évian, Sushi & Nem settled where people pass every day: between the SNCF station and the Belvédère, a few minutes from the lakeside. The room mixes light wood, a green wall and rattan pendants; the terrace with its yellow chairs hosts lunches on sunny days.
The idea is simple: bring together the Vietnamese and Thai recipes of a restaurateur family and a genuine Japanese counter under one roof. One half of the table orders nems and fried rice, the other maki and nigiri, and nobody has to compromise.

Close to one hundred and fifty dishes, cooked to order. Fresh herbs, fast wok cooking and fish prepared the same day give the house its identity.

技The craft
A sushi counter and a halal kitchen.
Vincent has been a sushi chef for twenty years. Fish arrives fresh every morning, is cut at the counter and shaped to order: that is the difference between a nigiri that melts and rice packed too tight. How the fish is handled is explained on our Japanese restaurant in Thonon page.
In the hot kitchen there is no pork on the menu: the meats served are halal, chicken or beef, which remains rare among Asian addresses in the area. Vegetarian tables are well looked after too, with vegetable gyoza, tofu pad thai, plain Cantonese rice, edamame or avocado maki.
